Ben Hallman is a Los Angeles–based editor with over a decade of experience in post-production across commercial, streaming, and documentary projects. Having worked professionally in both Los Angeles and New York, he serves as both a lead editor and assistant editor, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and post teams from prep through delivery.

Originally drawn to editing through music production, Ben approaches picture with a strong sense of rhythm and structure, often shaping temp sound design and music early so sequences feel intentional long before final mix. His work favors clarity, momentum, and emotional precision over excess.

As an assistant editor, he supports technically complex workflows across VFX-heavy campaigns, longform brand documentaries, and multi-format deliverables while maintaining clear timelines and calm collaboration under pressure. He builds strong select reels, manages turnovers and versioning across formats, and helps keep fast-moving post environments organized through finish.
